Trace Evidence in Property Crimes - Roanoke, VA 12/10/2024

This is a four-hour course designed to provide an understanding of Trace Evidence and its value in property crime investigations. Trace Evidence is often underutilized in property crimes. This course aims to help attendees learn how to recognize various types of Trace Evidence, how to collect it and package it, and how it can be utilized in property crimes, such as burglary, theft, and vandalism. The types of Trace Evidence that will be covered are glass, paint, fibers/hairs, fracture match/physical fits, and general chemicals. This course is designed for crime scene investigators, police officers, and Commonwealth Attorneys who are involved with the investigation of property crimes.

This course will be limited to 30 attendees and is restricted to personnel from Virginia law enforcement agencies.
