Annual Retraining Seminar - VA Beach, VA 2025

As put forth in President Shumate’s letter to the membership emailed February 10th, 2025 (and also attached to this course announcement email), this year’s event will require that attendees pay a $150.00 registration fee. You may pay the fee either by using PayPal (search Virginia Forensic Science Academy Alumni Association) or sending a check to:

This program is designed to keep Virginia Forensic Science Academy graduates abreast of changes in the expanding field of forensic science. In addition to providing updates concerning laboratory topics, case studies addressing situations encountered at actual crime scenes will be presented as well as a legal update. There will be a Manufacturer/Retailer Exhibit, sponsored by the Alumni Association that will allow graduates to see some of the newest developments in crime scene search equipment.
Graduates interested in sharing their knowledge of new methods, techniques or resources they have found particularly useful or providing a case study highlighting any experience and knowledge gained by that case, please contact Jeff Dwyer at 804-588-4144. Suggestions for presenters from outside of our group are also welcome!
